Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
Nestimate is a free tool for estimating your home's value and equity. You don't need an account, and we don't sell your information.
- Your home and loan details are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
- When you look up an address, it's sent to our address and property data providers to get its value.
- We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. We never send it your address or financial details.
What you enter
When you use Check My Home, you can enter an address, details about the house, and your purchase price, loan amount, interest rate and similar figures. These are saved in your browser's local storage on your device so the page remembers them. They are not sent to us, except for the address when you look it up (below). Your loan and purchase details never leave your browser.
To remove them, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Address lookups
- Suggestions. As you type an address, the text is sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest matching addresses.
- Home value. When you pick an address, it is sent to our server and to a property data provider, which returns the estimated value, rent, details about the house, nearby homes and local market figures.
- Saved results. We keep each looked-up address and its results for up to 30 days, so looking it up again is faster. These saved results are not linked to you or your device.
Limits and bot protection
Address lookups cost us money, so we limit how often they can be used. To do this we count lookups by IP address each day, and we may ask your browser to pass a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which looks for signs of automated traffic. The daily counts are deleted within about 40 days.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which features they use. It collects information such as the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location, and how you got here, and it uses cookies to recognize repeat visits. We also record whether a lookup succeeded and when a home is saved. We do not send Google Analytics your address, home details, values or loan information.
Our host, Cloudflare, also measures visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser.
Hosting and logs
Nestimate runs on Cloudflare. Like most websites, our hosting keeps short-term technical logs of requests, which can include your IP address, browser and the address you looked up. We use them only to keep the site working and to fix problems, and they are deleted after a few days.
Emailing us
If you email contact@nestimate.xyz, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the services that run Nestimate: Cloudflare (hosting, security and email forwarding), Google (address suggestions and analytics) and our property data provider. Each handles it under its own privacy policy, including Google's and Cloudflare's. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Children
Nestimate is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
